I made hot chocolate yesterday, not least thanks to an excellent article by a well-known nationalist LJ user

I made it "by eye". First, I figured there must be chocolate on sale, so I went to the store. One had nothing, but the other really did have inexpensive Lithuanian dark Bitter chocolate bars. If I were some ESP-believing numbskull, I'd say it was telepathy. But since God, who doesn't exist by the way, has spared me, I use a rational explanation: we have chocolate on sale every day — if not in one store, then in another, if not one brand, then another.

Making it is simple: you pour in a few thimblefuls of milk, melt the chocolate in a water bath. (That's when a pot is placed inside another pot — with boiling water). Then you pour in the rest of the milk from the carton, add cocoa (if you were too stingy to use a lot of pure chocolate). You add sugar, a little vanilla and cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, if you have any. You can top it with cream (you can also use low-fat cream instead of milk)

You have to drink it right away, hot, chasing it with cool water. You can't drink a lot of it. And if you make just a little, you'll only dirty the dishes for nothing. That's why it's best to invite friends over, they'll definitely help out.
